Is it a skill i need to unlock? I can do perfect blocks but the special animation that allows me to hit back, I just can't do. Does anyone know how to do it on hardmode in terms of timing or is it a skill i haven't got yet? Thanks

Initially I liked it because there is some kind-of promise of skill expression. It feels like you need to learn how to play properly. "You don't become a knight overnight" I've seen quoted quite a few times by other people. Unfortunately at some point the veil falls and you have to admit the combat is just... awful.
